British Petroleum CEO Bernard Looney resigned after failing to disclose relationships with colleagues

He only told about a small number of past relationships before becoming CEO

Bernard Looney, who has spent his entire career with BP Looney was raised on a dairy farm in Ireland 

Bernard Looney  joined BP in 1991 at age of 21 after studying completing electrical engineering in Dublin.

He took over as CEO in 2020, and quickly set a goal for BP to “become a net-zero company by 2050”

Looney disclosed “a small number of historical relationships with colleagues before becoming CEO”

Murray Auchincloss, the company’s chief financial officer, will run the business till a new CEO is appointed.
